Remember Palestine during this blessed month
The ceasefire in Gaza has effectively collapsed after the Israeli regime repeatedly violated the terms of the agreement and showed no interest in advancing to the other phases of the deal. There are almost 1000 infringements of the deal by the Israelis since the truce began.
A renewed war of starvation is now being imposed on Gaza with Israeli regime halting all aid delivery to the Strip and saying it plans to cut off electricity. Power to two desalination plants in Gaza have already been cut off. These supply about 70 percent of the residents of the area with water.
On Monday, extremist settler Itamar Ben Gvir said that such measures should be taken in the Gaza Strip to "starve" it before resuming the war so that it could be easily crushed later.
WEST BANK
Ongoing Israeli operations in the West Bank aimed at annexation, have led to widespread destruction and the displacement of at least 45,000 people from Tulkarem and Nour Shams camps alone. Economic conditions in the West Bank have only worsened in the wake of Israel's aggressive military operations. The region faces high unemployment, rising prices, and delays in government salaries, putting further strain on Palestinian families.
MASJID AL-AQSA
As is the case almost every year during Ramadan, the Israeli regime is imposing draconian restrictions on Palestinians Muslims, limiting their access to Masjid al-Aqsa.
Israeli Occupation police said they will not allow Palestinians prisoners of conscience released from jails in recent weeks to enter Al-Aqsa during Ramadan.
The Occupation police are deploying 3,000 personnel every day at checkpoints leading to East Jerusalem and Masjid al-Aqsa during Ramadan.
The Occupation seeks that only 10,000 permits to Palestinians from the occupied West Bank to enter Masjid al-Aqsa be granted during Ramadan. Permits will be given only to men older than 55 and women older than 50.
Meanwhile, notwithstanding it being Ramadan, Israeli settler incursions, public prayers and provocative singing continue unabated almost daily inside the Masjid.
Public Appeal
The United Ulama Council earnestly calls upon all to intensify their supplications and prayers for the oppressed people of Palestine.
During Jumuah, Imams are urged to consistently talk about Bayt al-Maqdis, and to pray to Allah for mercy, justice, peace, and success for our fellow brothers in Palestine, and for the safeguarding of Masjid al-Aqsa.
During this blessed month, we can increase our Salawaat and Duas.
