CRL RIGHTS COMMISSION | Survey on Religious Freedom

A CALL TO ACTION

Alhamdulilah, we have long enjoyed religious freedom in South Africa.  However, there are attempts to curb this freedom through the legislative process… legislation that will impact on the identity, values and faith of Muslims. Our children and future generations look to us for guidance and action.

The CRL Rights Commission is responsible for the protection of religious rights in our country. It is currently conducting a survey in line with its mandate to ascertain how faith-based communities feel about religious freedom in South Africa. The survey presents us with an opportunity to voice our concerns, share our experiences, and offer our recommendations.

We call on all Muslims to participate in this survey. This collective endeavour will send a strong message to the authorities on the need to guarantee religious freedom in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of our country.

CLICK HERE for guidance on how to answer the survey, where a link to the survey has also been provided.

Remember, the deadline is 12:00 noon, on Friday, 29th September 2023. Your voice matters and every submission counts.

May the flame of our faith continue to burn brightly for all generations. (Aameen)

Jazak-Allahu Khair.
