UUCSA meet with Minara Chambers
UUCSA met with members of the Minarah Chamber of Commerce South Africa on 21 November 2022 at Al Baraka Bank in Durban.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss a possible partnership between Minara Chambers and UUCSA in hosting the Ambassador of Mauritania in the near future.
Minara Chamber was well represented at the meeting. Their members agreed that such a meeting will create opportunities for co-operation and support with the North African Country.
Shaykh EG also spoke about the educational prowess and scholarly ability of the Mauritania Ulama which would most certainly be beneficial to the Ulama fraternity.
The members also expressed the need to extend the discussion to other forums in the agriculture sector.
At an initial meeting with UUCSA in October, the Ambassador expressed the desire to build partnerships with the Muslim agricultural sector and business community in South Africa.
Further to this, the members of Minara raised the point of working towards an MOU with UUCSA and the necessity thereof in the current climate in our Country.
They also noted the meeting between UUCSA and ACSA as a positive development.
