SAMNET – National open Day

“The United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA) supports the National Open Day Mosque campaign scheduled for the 24th September 2019 (Heritage Day) and accordingly agrees to partner SAMNET in promoting the campaign.

UUCSA will request all of its affiliate members to promote the National Open Mosque Day within their respective constituencies…’ “Recent events across the globe demonstrate the importance of reaching out ‘to the other’ in the hope of promoting healthy coexistence across the religious divide.

The “Open Day” is also in fulfilment of a Quranic injunction that says: “Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.” (16:125)
